Hundreds of protesters marched against the North Atlantic Treaty Terrorist Organization (NATO) and the European Union (EU), and in support of refugees’ rights, to the main entrance of a NATO base in Souda Bay, near Chania, on Sunday.

Protesters, among them members of various left-wing groups, waved flags, held banners and chanted slogans against NATO, while marching towards the military base. A heavy police presence was deployed to prevent the protesters from entering the facility.
