It appears that Gotham may be renewed for a fifth 13 episode season allowing the series to reach it's 100th episode and maybe even beyond.
This weekend brought some fantastic news for Gotham fans. Being a Warner Bros. production, fans believed that Gotham would join Lucifer, The Exorcist, and many other series on the network's chopping block for next season. Tonight, Fox issued a last-minute renewal to the Batman origin story in a way that should be very much epic.
Following news that Gotham has been renewed for a fifth, and final, season comes word that the Batman prequel won't return to Fox's lineup until midseason.

The network did not say how many episodes are in the order.
Details on when the final season of Gotham will air will come later this week when FOX announces its fall scheduled but rumors say the Batman prequel may end up as a mid-season show that will pick up after the National Football League season has finished in January.
This last season, the character of "The Joker" was introduced to the fans of Gotham, but without ever saying that name. James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) through a dangerously corrupt city teetering between good and evil, and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.
Fox have been pretty brutal over the weekend, cutting a number of shows from their schedule including "The Last Man On Earth", and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine".
