TDP leaders contend that they were planning to submit a memorandum for special status to the BJP president but his convoy did not stop and pushed away workers standing with party flags which hit the windscreen of one auto.
Although TDP party workers were the first to be arrested by local police and Chandrababu Naidu has seriously responded on the incident, BJP blaming Chandrababu has been now inviting flak from various sections. "The stone hit another vehicle behind Shah's car.We don't know yet if some miscreants posing as TDP workers resorted to this act", he said in a statement.

The windshield of a vehicle belonging to BJP leader Kola Anand was damaged with a TDP activist reportedly pelting a stone at the convoy. "It is against our party discipline. There is no place for clashes or tensions in our just struggle", Naidu said. They were returning to the airport when the incident occurred. While condemning the attack on the BJP chief, he warned the TDP cadres of indulging in such violent protests.
According to reports, ahead of the voting for Karnataka Assembly Elections tomorrow, Amit Shah visited Tirumala to pray to the God for the victory of the party. Earlier in the day, the BJP president could not escape the heat of the protests for Special Category Status (SCS), when he came to Tirumala hill shrine along with family.
