Apart from this, the Uber app will soon get a new Emergency button named "911 assistance", this emergency button lets passengers connect to emergency services with just one tap on the button. Uber said Wednesday that it will make vehicle rentals available from its app later this month in San Francisco through a partnership with car-sharing startup Getaround.
In November 2017, Uber Chief Executive Officer Dara Khosrowshahi disclosed the data breach that affected 57 million people around the world and said the two individuals who led the response were no longer with Uber.

Ride-hailing service Uber is bringing its Movement tool to India, a free website that provides the public and urban planners with anonymized data about traffic flow in the city.
"I can foresee situations where if I was in a situation where I didn't feel safe, I want something like that at my disposal", Hall said.
Uber announced Wednesday that it would be partnering with Masabi, a software company that works with transit companies, to integrate transit planning and fare payment in the Uber app. Uber's Khanna cautioned that the process was still in its early stages. Once an agreement is reached with a transit agency, Uber users will be able to book and display public transit tickets within the application to enable seamless multimodal journeys. The service will also include integration of transit maps and schedule information in selected cities.
Masabi has partnerships with transit systems in Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and NY, as well as train and transit operators in Europe. GetAround installs electronic locks in the vehicles, so that renters can access the cars with their smartphones. It now offers detailed information on Boston, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, plus cities in other countries.
