Worgen cards will swap their attack and health for each turn they stay in your hand. The new Rush keyword, on the other hand, allows you to attack minions the turn it is played (but not the enemy hero), while Echo lets you play certain cards multiple times in the same turn.
Deceptively simple in design but epically engaging, Hearthstone will be instantly accessible to players regardless of their familiarity with Warcraft or collectible card games.
Ben Brode and company provide more details on the gameplay implications of the new cards in the Blair Witch-style video above, adding to a delightful collection of very unusual Hearthstone trailers.
As for the cards within Hearthstone's The Witchwood expansion, players will have to wait.
The Witchwood is Hearthstone's next expansion, adds a new single-player mode
As announced earlier through an announcement video with Hearthstone developers, The Witchwood expansion is the first one of the Year of the Raven and will release in mid- April, meaning there's about a month for Blizzard to reveal all of the set's cards.
The set also introduces the new Echo keyword. Rush will be familiar to players, as it functions much like Charge, however Rush cards can only attack minions on the turn that they're played. In addition, crafty deck-builders can employ powerful minions that challenge them to use only odd- or even-cost cards in exchange for a potent advantage. The expansion also adds another single-player experience that will follow a similar formula to Kobolds & Catacombs' Dungeon Runs, building on one of the game's best ideas from the Year of the Mammoth.
The Witchwood is expect to launch sometime in April, with Monster Hunt to follow two weeks later.
Then there's that new Monster Hunt mode. Start of the Game gives you special powers if your deck meets certain conditions when the round begins. As a bonus, for pre-purchasing the expansion, you will get 50+20 packs and a new "In a Dark Wood" card back!
Looks like the Rogue Death Knight, Valeera the Hollow's Hero Power, only for a single card. This one-time-only bundle is available on any platform for $49.99 (one purchase per account).More news: Lisa Bonet Not Surprised by Cosby Allegations
