The first and most exciting new thing is confirmation of a new four-by-four KM island map, as well as another new eight-by-eight KM map. This time it appears that the source of inspiration was Fortnite Battle Royale.
In the official post, the developer's are keen to ensure fans that they are dedicated to continually improving the game, in terms of new content, and patches and updates - and listening to community concerns. This new map will be available on PUBG's experimental test server starting next month.

PUBG Corp. blames recent performance issues on background programs, but it's also possible the anti-cheat algorithm itself has become too sophisticated.
Elsewhere, PUBG Corp. intends to increase the detail of vehicle sounds in the first half of 2018, as well as change the sound that the player produces while moving so that it corresponds to the equipment the player is wearing.
"Seriously, we are not there yet, but we will be", said Greene. "This year we plan to build on that foundation and really start to polish our features, squash the remaining bugs and expand the game even further".
PUBG Corp.is also teasing new game modes for later in 2018, but doesn't go into detail about what those modes may entail.
Nevertheless, PUBG players now have a document with which to hold PUBG Corp. accountable and PUBG Corp. has made public their plans to keep fans happy.
