The former lead initially proposed toBecca Kufrin, but he called off their engagement in early January and got back together with his season's runner-up, Lauren, right after. "I don't want to say everything happens for a reason, but I truly think it does".
Arie handled it so poorly, in fact, that one of his own state politicians drafted up a bill to ban him from the state of Minnesota (Becca K.'s home state).
On Tuesday, the day after he devastated Kufrin, Stempfley notably wrote on Twitter, "I hate to say I told you so butttt...."
She also said that she hopes his new relationships works out, with Arie and fiancee Lauren heading off on vacation before they return o start planning their wedding. In TV interviews following the finale, Luyendyk said he chose to film the breakup with Kufrin so that viewers would know the breakup was "all on him" and Kufrin could have a chance to be the next Bachelorette. Not to mention, even politicians are standing by Becca, as Minnesota Representative Drew Christensen authored a bill banning Arie from the state. She said her family was "head over heels about him".

She does however admit she was a bit skeptical after he first reached out to her... while he was still engaged to Becca.

While chatting with ET on Wednesday, Luyendyk told ET that the risk was all worth it for Burnham, whom he plans to marry this year. The ex, Cassie Harshman, however, opened up that her miscarriage "was the beginning of the end but it was a long breakup". She also stays in touch with her fan base with her popular podcast, Off the Vine.
"I don't think so", Christensen said.
