Samsung has a big few weeks ahead as the firm readies itself to launch it's all-new Galaxy S9 on February 25.

The Galaxy S9 will apparently arrive with what's being called "3D emoji".

The iPhone X is the most impressive handset Apple has ever made.

Many Galaxy S8 fans were relieved that Samsung was finally rolling out the update after almost half a year since the OS was made official by Google.

Since Apple beat manufacturers to the implementation of 3D emojis, it seems that the competition is now hurrying to create (or even copy) a version for new devices, and it could be that Samsung will boast that their version is better still than Apple's.

The report also suggests Samsung's version of Animoji will have sharing capabilities and we assume this will be available whether the other user has an S9 or not.

A report from Korean publication ETNews today claims that Samsung is planning to bring 3D Emoji to its upcoming Galaxy S9 flagship, with functionality similar to Apple's Animoji.

In total, Samsung phones running Experience 9.0 are also getting 239 brand new emoji, featuring those rolled out last March in Unicode 5.0.

Additionally, users will also receive the new Dual Messenger feature that allows them to run two identical instant messaging app at the same time. Leaks in November showed that the Galaxy S9 will not be carrying the feature.

This appears to match a recent story from SamMobile - citing "unconfirmed claims", the website said the Galaxy S9/S9 Plus would feature stereo speakers with Dolby Surround and tuned by AKG, the audio brand owned by Samsung.

Judging by the visuals, it seems the Galaxy S9 Plus will retain the slim bezels on the top and bottom of the screen from the S8. However, this doesn't mean that Samsung will ditch the fingerprint scanner. Unfortunately, it looks like the Bixby button will also make its comeback.
