The company announced its plan to open 69 locations, including Flint Township, in a news release Thursday, Jan. 4, two days after posting the job openings for positions including sales associate, warehouse specialist and product specialist, on its Web site.
Following the successful bid in the bankruptcy process, Lemonis stated his intention of operating stores with a clear path to profitability and a then current goal of operating seventy or more locations subject to, among other things, the ability to negotiate acceptable lease terms with landlords. Marcus Lemonis, host of CNBC investment competition "The Profit" and co-owner of Camping World Holdings created Gander Outdoors after buying the assets of Gander Mountain. The Rothschild location is on a list of stores that will be open "by the end of May or the middle of June". It is supposedly the leading outdoor and camping retailer, offering an extensive assortment of recreational vehicles for sale, RV and camping gear, RV maintenance and fix. The St. Paul-based chain had 160 stores, and Lemonis has said he'd planned to reopen about 70.
Camping World is located in Lincolnshire, Ill.
